Baby Adlai!

He was so excited to enter the world that he didn't even let his mama make it to the hospital. Welcome to the world little dude, you're a good story to tell! Many, many thanks to Bean Work Play Cafe for giving us a beautiful indoor setting for a cold winters day photo shoot.

The Sweet Sorrows

Every time I go see Kelley and Brian she jokes the only place I haven't photographed in their house is the bathroom. I want to get ONE shot in the bathroom sometime soon just so we can laugh about it! This time of year we, luckily, have free rein of the outdoors and didn't have to resort to the bathroom. But, the truth is, I love this family so much I would be happy to photograph them anywhere. We took full advantage of the beautiful weather and headed over to Woodward Academy. Woodward is beautifully landscaped, the perfect place to photograph the sweet Sorrows.

Emily Turns 1

In June little Emily turned 1. She had a great back-yard birthday party, complete with family, friends, a water table and beer! The handmade details of this party were adorable, I can tell Laura had a great time planning the day.

I am super happy Laura hired me to capture this day. Most Mamas are good at taking pictures, but not as good at being in the pictures. I love that Emily and her parents have images of them together on her first birthday.

(She was upset when Mama took the cake away)

2011 Retrospective: November + December

Back at it today! Today is my first session of 2012, woohoo! We have been trying to schedule this session for the last month. No joke, I think we have re-scheduled it 6 times between rainy weather and winter colds. As a celebration for my first session of 2012, I thought I would finally tie up my 2011 retrospective. Better late than never.

Looking back, 2011 was the best year of my life. Hands down. I worked hard, traveled far, ran a lot and settled down into a nice rhythm of life. I know years like 2011 don't come along often. Enjoy these last images of 2011, I look forward to everything 2012 has to offer.

2011 Retrospective: October!

2011 Retrospective: September

September in Atlanta is one of my favorite times for family photographs. The weather is amazing and allows for plenty of time before the holidays. At the same time, a chill creeps into the air at the end of the month and everyone is eagerly anticipating fall.

2011 Retrospective: July + August

Oops, I somehow missed this super sweet birthday party from June. It was certainly a special one and I was so happy to celebrate with Miss Ruby.
