Things I love: Part 1!

The thing I love most…having a full calendar! I have one Saturday session open in July and a couple of weekday shoots open. If you are thinking about scheduling something let me know so we can get a date down. Spots are filling up crazy fast. October is also almost totally filled, which seems insane, but I can't complain! I am going to do a day of mini-shoots for holiday cards in early October (I am thinking October 10th). If you are interested in booking a Mini-Session let me know and I will give you the details. Otherwise the official information will be posted in August.

Onto actual THINGS I love. I am a recent convert to Etsy. I get lost looking at the art and gadgets and fun kiddo things on there. Between Etsy and Facebook it's a miracle that I get anything done when I sit down at my computer! One of the first things I purchased on Etsy was this adorable hat for a newborn session.

I mean, really…who doesn't love a wrinkly baby in a super cute hat?

After receiving my first baby hat I quickly added a few more to my collection. Farah rocked this hat so much I decided that she was going to be my Bump spokes-baby.

I am kind of a frustrated home decorator. I really want my house to look like a Pottery Barn catalog but…it doesn't and probably never will. I really am OK with that. But recently, the girls moved in together. To celebrate this momentous sisterly occasion I wanted to do something a bit special for their room. While they were visiting my parents I did a mini-bedroom-overhaul. I ordered these adorable poms. I was so excited to put them up and surprise the girls. This is the final product, complete with LED Christmas lights…because I LOVE Christmas lights and Chris won't let me put them in our bedroom.

These are a few Etsy finds I am digging right now. In the next week or so I am going to have installment 2 of the 2 part "Thing I Love" series.

Mom’s are Human WINNER!

Congrats to Kacie and her super-cute little family for winning the Mom's Are Human Facebook contest! When you get a minute head over to the mah site and check out Elizabeth's month of cooking adventures (and her first month as a stay-at-home mom). I had a fun time doing the Mom's Are Human contest and I am hoping to do more with Elizabeth in the future (can you say mah Holiday Mini-Sessions??).

I met up with Kacie and her guys at Stone Mountain Park. It was the first time I had done a shoot over there and I LOVED it. I don't love everywhere I shoot, but I LOVED it there. The water and rocks, shade and train tracks all made for one AWESOME shoot! Plus, everyone was willing to ditch the shoes and get wet….woohooo! Anyone willing to trek out to Stone Mountain, you won't be disappointed!

Some pictures just make me smile…

…Case in point…

Happy Father’s Day!

Here is a big Happy Father's Day to all of you dads out there. Thanks for loving your families and always working so hard for them. I hope your day is filled with fun and relaxation!

Aaron turns 3!!

I love what Debbie and John do, every year they get pictures taken on their sons birthday's (or close to it). It is such an awesome way to remember the boys as they grow. And, their boys are SUPER cute! Aaron, Debbie and I had a fun (kinda hot) morning at Westchester Park. Aaron was such a great three year old and had much to tell me and talk about. I loved how he would put up three fingers in celebration of his upcoming birthday! I had so much fun! Thanks guys!

Baby Aliyah!

Oh, baby Aliyah! What a sweet little girl! She didn't quite know what to think of me and my big camera (the camera probably weighed more than her) but I had a fun morning hanging out with Ali and her Mama. Austin was also a big help, distracting Ali and licking her toes (puppy help is always appreciated!). Thanks so much for an awesome, morning. See you guys soon!

Lauren and John {Baby on the Way}

I met up with Lauren and John at Palate (it's a PictureMommy fave!) for an awesome maternity shoot. Here are a few things about Lauren that I noticed straight away: The girl has some AWESOME high heels and can walk in said heals, she sports red lipstick better than ANYONE I know and has a unrivaled sense of style. And John, well…he's just crazy about her and isn't afraid to admit it! I cannot wait to meet Little Jack next week, pics will be up soon from his shoot!

Super Fun Laney Family!

Boys are funny. And Fun. And totally unknown to me…I've got the girls down…but boys, they always surprise me. The main surprise is ALWAYS the amount of energy one little guy can have. And the Laney's came with double the fun, double the energy and a third boy on the way! We met at the Park on Ponce (I have no idea if the park has a real name, but I am naming it the Park on Ponce). It was the perfect place, a nice mix of lush ATL landscape and a fun little playground for the boys, I hope to do many more shoots there in the future. Laney Fam, congrats on the arrival of your new little guy, see you soon!

When PictureMommy is SUPER Busy…

…the bloggity gets ignored. It's not planned, ignoring my little blog. In fact, I think about it every day. But, I  have been so determined, churning out client proofs, that I haven't stopped to update my latest happenings. No more! I was reading the blogs of Jess and Erika (some awesome friends from high school who have been an inspiration in this photography journey of mine) and thought, "I better get on my updating!"

I have quite a few blog posts to get up before I leave for the beach with my man to celebrate his birthday. In order to celebrate properly PictureMommy will be taking a few days off to relax and unwind sans kiddos on the awesome beaches of costal Florida. I am now booking for Mid to late July and early August is is almost entirely filled. If you want to get on the calender shoot me an email or give me a call and I will be happy to take care of you!

Rebekah and Jason were getting ready to celebrate their first anniversary. What better way to do that than to slip back into your wedding dress (Rebekah), put on a snazzy suit (Jason) and go to the Goat Farm? We had the most beautiful light on a perfect Thursday evening. The sun was setting just so, the wind was fun and playful. What an awesome time! I am ALWAYS up for evening shoots. It has been my latest obsession to do a 7pm shoot in downtown Atlanta. The light between the buildings is AMAZING. Enjoy these pics and stay tuned for many more to come in the next few days!
