Fun Little Man!

McKai is so fun! The energy little boys have is amazing to me. They are go-go-go in a way my girls never were. Mack was a delight to play with and chase after. He loves his big red ball, Dr. Seuss character and my Ikea cow. Kristen and Chris introduced me to a great place in Smyra, the Taylor Brawner Park, I am totally digging it. I can't wait to do another shoot there. One of my favorite parts about being a photographer is discovering places in and around Atlanta that I have never been to. That said, I think I need to invest in a GPS becuase I am tired of getting lost. :-)

Thanks Kristen, Chris and McKai, you were amazing. I can't wait to see you all again!

Ava and Eli: {Spring Mini-Session}

Right after our Spring Break trip to Missouri I met up with Ava and Eli for a fun min-session at Agnes Scott. I have known these kiddos for quite a while and have loved photographing them as they grow. Ava is a camera natural, she will pose and smile on command. She is also great at getting Eli to pose with her, a fantastic big sister all around! I can't wait to do it again next year!

Stanley and Leandrea: Cute and in love!

Thank you all for the nice comments on my new PictureMommy CD, I am very grateful for the compliments and support! To celebrate my new website I am still running my 25% off session fee special. The session has to be booked sometime in the next four months (or first session if you would like to purchase a package). This offer is good until April 30th, so there are a few more days to take advantage of this awesome offer. Just be sure to mention this blurb when you contact me about booking!

Now, on to some L.O.V.E. Leandrea and Stanley are so cute! I love the way Stanley laughs at Leandrea when she is being silly and their sweet little boy Cameron is such a doll. Engagement session are a complete blast for me, it's great to see two people so in love and how they just enjoy being in love. Congrats you two, I wish you years of happiness to come!

Oh, so Pretty!

Over the last year I have had many discussions with myself, friends and mentors about how to price my photography. I think photography pricing is one of the hardest (and most taboo) areas photographers have to consider when they start their business. After much soul-searching I committed myself to including digital images with each photography session. I know I may receive some flack because of this decision, but I stand by it and am building my business around that central idea. I often worry when potential clients are searching for a photographer and only consider session fees I am automatically excluded because they do not take into account the value of digital files (and how much many photographer's charge for them).

Knowing that I was going to continue to provide digital files with each session I wanted to create a CD and CD packaging that included my new logo and provided my clients with a print release and copyright details. I found a few great companies that helped me realize my vision and this is what I created:

The CD folio's contain 100% recycled fibers (85% post-consumer recycled / 15% post-industrial recycled and is FSC Certified). I love how they look and that they are more enviornmentally friendly than other plastic options I considered.

Inside the folio's you will find the PictureMommy print release and copyright information along with a PictureMommy card. Both are printed on recycled watercolor paper.

I am so in love with the CD. It is the flower from my logo and looks great next to the brown on the print release and business card.

Thanks to all of my clients for your continued business and support and to all of my future clients for trusting me to capture beautiful images of your family! I hope you enjoy your digital files for years to come!

Evie is 1!

Over a year ago I started photographing Evie when she was still in her mama's belly. Now, she is one!! I cannot believe it. Time flies when you're a growing little girl! Evie and her parents are three of my favorite people. They are so sweet and caring, always with some awesome music jiving in the background. The cutest thing Miss Evie does is scoot across the floor. She does not bother with crawling, just scoots her little bottom all over the house. It's adorable! As always, your guys rock, I cannot wait to see you again soon!

The Friends: {or BFF’s}

Angela, Peg and Rhonda met in college and have stayed friends ever since. They each have a son and wanted to capture the special memories of friendship and motherhood. I am still in awe of their beauty, spunky-ness and shoes. They have great shoes!! I had an awesome time with them and their boys, these ladies know how to strike a pose, sing silly kids songs and just be plain cool. There are so many things to say, but I just want to show the pictures because they are amazing. You ladies rock, see you soon!

The Ketchup!

Or, catch up. It has been a busy few weeks for PictureMommy and Associates (aka: Me, Chris and the munchkins). Our weekends have been filled with shoots, shoot and more shoots. We took a week off to visit family and friends in Missouri two weeks ago. Combine that with the launch of my new website and you have one busy household!

First, I wanted to thank everyone for your response to the new website. I was excited about the new look and my heart was warmed by the nice comments and words of encouragement  I have received. Second, my weekends are booking further and further in advance these days, so if you need a weekend shoot contact me and I will get you on my calender. Third, I am still running my 25% off session fee special to celebrate the release of the new site. Take advantage of it while you can! A few clients have scored awesome deals on my Pregnancy/Newborn Package and First Year Package.

In March I spent a (cold) morning with Lyndon and Dana. We were all caught a little off guard by the cold temps but Lyndon did great and I am happy to share some pics from that morning. I am trying out some new blog boards, they are so fun for my kiddo shoots!

And…We’re Back!

Whew! The website upgrade is complete and the process was not nearly as bad as I expected. Please take this opportunity to check out my new site. Everything is new and improved, but I am especially proud of the Gallery and my updated Session Info page.

This entire project started a few months ago when I got the hankering for a new logo. I wanted an object that would help represent me so I scowered iStock and found one that suited me. I handed over creative control to Chris and off he went. Once the logo was designed I decided I needed a new site and he dug into the depths of WordPress to create this little gem for me. We had a great time working on it together. He did an amazing job at making it very user friendly for me and integrated it in with the gallery service I already use.

To increase the flexibility of my photo sessions I have made a few changes to my offerings. To add some fun, I have re-named my sessions and added a third type of session which will work great for parents of young kiddos. I am now offering The Venti, The Expresso and The Short, check out their specs here.

In the next few days I am going to be posting about my new CD packaging and my business cards, they have been spruced up with my new look!

Of course we have to celebrate the release of PictureMommy 2.0, to do that I am offering 25% off any new session booking! The session has to be booked for sometime in the next four months, but book now and you will receive 25% off your session fee! When you contact me to book, just mention this blurb. I haven't decided how long I am going to offer this, so book now and get a nice discount!

And last, but never least. I wanted to say, "thanks" to all of my clients, friends and family for their unwavering support. Every day I am reminded of what a lucky girl I am. I wouldn't be here without Chris, or my friends or my amazing clients. Here's to many fun years ahead! *Cheers*

My Chris and my munchkins. LOVE. THEM.

In…3….2….1….

PictureMommy.com is  going down tonight until tomorrow morning. We will be back live with the awesome new website! Get ready!!

Date in the Park!

In February, Dara and I picked a date to meet up for a family shoot in Piedmont Park. Somehow, we picked a day with THE most awesome weather! The sun was shinning, warm breeze was picking up…just on the cusp of Spring. It was beautiful! Asher provided us never ending 12 month-old entertainment and we had a great time. As I was looking through the images we captured I was struck by the eyes in this family, they are spectacular…green, blue, brown…all of them sparkly and happy. What a fun day, thanks guys!
